Jutta Treviranus Receives Prestigious IEC Award

Jutta Treviranus, Director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre and head of the Inclusive Design Institute, has been awarded the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 1906 Award. Professor Treviranus was nominated by ISO/IEC JTC 1 in recognition of her excellent work on the ISO/IEC individualized adaptability and accessibility in e-learning, education and training standards.

IDRC Offering Website Accessibility Clinic

Beginning on Oct. 22, 2013, the Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC) at OCAD University will be offering a free weekly clinic to help website owners and developers check on the accessibility of their website. The clinics will provide website owners with an opportunity to sit down with an expert accessibility designer and have their Web site’s accessibility reviewed, and learn how to spot and address accessibility issues themselves.
